What the Heck is Reiki Healing?
Specifically, Usui Reiki Ryoho Treatment?
Reiki, as a word, comes from the Japanese and translated means “Universal Life Energy” in its simplest form. It’s origination actually has a Buddhist background in the year 770, and by the 800s it was brought to Japan by students, studied by a select few. According to many versions of its origin, Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese seeker of spiritual truths, brought the Reiki method of healing into human awareness in 1922 after a deeply spiritual experience. It was said he began teaching soon after a serious earthquake hit Japan. It was this catastrophe that awakened him to spread his knowledge.

Reiki is a Form of Alternative Medicine Called Energy Healing.
There are all kinds of energy healing, this specifically, is the practice of which hands are placed just off the body or lightly touching the body, as in “laying on of hands.” The technique is referred to as palm healing or hands-on healing through which “universal energy” is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing.
In a Reiki session, the practitioner is seeking to transmit Universal Life Energy to the client. The intention is to create deep relaxation, to help speed healing, reduce pain, and decrease other symptoms you may be experiencing. Additionally, it is also considered a form of prayer over the human body and soul of the client, channeled by a practitioner.
Reiki can also be done “long-distance,” as a form of prayer to heal.
Reiki Comes from LOVE (In my view)
Now, in my view of it, I believe that this energy comes from love. Love of a higher power, love of “God/ Allah/ Higher Energy” (if you believe), love from your soul groups, love of the deceased ones who have walked the Earth, love of the earth, love of positivity in the universe itself. The creation energy of life and what nurtures it.
Regardless of culture, race, religion, origin, and language. Or any other conduit or difference that individuals believe divide peoples and all living things. I believe this gift of the universe can be brought to the spiritual and physical plane to heal life. The spiritual and in many cases the physical. The Reiki administrator is only the vessel, everything comes from the universe. Everything comes from Love.

Messages from Heaven
In 2015, I was shown by a loved one who had died how to call those who have crossed over and dwell in what we know as “Heaven”.
He showed me two hands held up facing away from him with his thumbs side by side to one another. He turned to me and told me, that to call an individual who has died, do this and pray and ask for them to come to see you. You can call me or anyone else you would like to speak to that has passed on.
Two years later, by meeting a friend in medium meditation circles, who also does Reiki, did I learn what it was. Almost immediately, when she showed me the hands position, I knew, I needed to learn, practice, and teach this method of energy healing. I also instinctively knew; It is how to call all your loved ones to you. As it is also a call out to the universe for love. In particular, love energy.
